Best Way To See Your Future
Posted on | March 31, 2010 | No Comments
If I knew how to see my future, I’d probably be in Las Vegas right now, right? I mean, in all seriousness, that would be an amazing skill to put to work at the tables, or at the track or during the Super Bowl. I would rather you take my title of this post a bit more literally. What is the best way to “see” your future? Well, it’s critical that you can see well. Right? If you are squinting to read this post right now, or you have trouble driving at night, or you think you look younger today than you did yesterday, well then, maybe it is time for you to get some new glasses. I know I just came to that realization, and Im sure I am not alone. And, as I said, this idea of getting new glasses will certainly make everything more clear – maybe even your future!
So, if you are looking for eyeglasses and you are interested in a little unsolicited advice, then listen up. This website I found has a really cool point of difference. They do not sell name brand frames. Shocking, I know, because most places market the heck out of the frame brands they carry. But, what this place does is focus on the quality of the lenses and the styling of the frames only. That way the save you money. They, in fact, save you a lot of money!
Check it out and let me know if your experience is as good as mine!
TV Options

One thing that we know for certain is that people are going to be looking for more ways to save money over the next 5 years than they were over the past 5 years. As a nation, the US has printed a lot of money and Government spending is up. It does not take a horoscope or an interpretation of the stars to figure out that we will have to pay that money back. After all, the “Government’s money” is only the sum of the taxpayers taxes. When we spend more than we have this year, we have to pay more than we spend at some point in the future.
One of the cheaper forms of entertainment is television and we all know that, as a nation, we’re spoiled with entertainment! We have the most robust entertainment industry in the world!!! One of the benefits of that is that prices keep coming down. Now there are third party vendors that specialize in finding the best deals in your area. You can search my Direct TV Dallas and find your way to My TV Options… you may find a better deal that what you have. It seems like there are deals for Direct TV NY and Direct TV FL at the moment.
We just want to make sure you don’t pay more than you have to… so you have a little extra money in your pocket in this very tough economy.
Vacation in Style
Posted on | February 6, 2010 | No Comments
I’ve spent a good portion of my adult life trying to figure out why people do what they do… there are times that it just doesn’t make much sense. People do some crazy things and especially when they’re on vaction. I’ve seen people drop one hundred dollar bills to valet boys on vacation. I’m sure the kid driving your car 50 feet really appreciates it, but we don’t want you to lose your mind just because you’re onvacation. So, it all starts with looking for a vacation rental.
There are many companies that can help you look for a vacation rental commercial. Yes, that’s correct. If you want to find the perfect arrangement for you and your wife, great! Or, if you need to plan something with all of your co-workers, you should look for something that gives you the most for your money.
Look, hotel rooms are overprice. You can spend 400 a night on a nice hotel room or you can get a 3 bedroom 3 bath house with a dock and a jacuzzi. Rent a boat instead of paying $50 a night in parking!
Here’s a commercial to keep you entertained:

Check out Vacation Rental.org. Seriously. Most people don’t consider homes or houses on vacation… but since I started bring a full family, it’s all I look at… I love hotels, certainly, but I like space with my kids and even my dog. So, in your future, we just wanted you to consider alternative sleeping arrangements. If you’re like me, you’ll start looking for homes and value first and then see what’s available in the hotel market!
Art – always a favorite topic

Born in 1970 and emerging from the skateboarding world Frank Shepard Fairey, also called Fairey Shepard, is an artist, illustrator and graphic designer. Apparently, his first famous work and the one that brought him fame was “Andre the Giant has a Posse”. And, most recently, his renowned work was in 2008 of our current President, Barrack Obama. Take a look:

It’s certainly a good piece of artwork. Personally, I’m not a fan of political artwork, to be honest but it was a historic moment for the country. Outside of being a great piece, the only other criticism that I would offer is that it doesn’t need the words. Hope speaks for itself in the picture.
Art is very personal and I really like some the below piece of work:

Or maybe this one:

These are also shepard fairey prints and I love the depiction of the faces. They’re telling us something. You can see that they feel something and their faces are captivating. This type of work is what makes great artists and he has made his work come alive in these pictures. He has a lot of great artwork! You should take a look… put it on your agenda or weekly horoscope.
Sports and the Zodiac

Wanted to start by taking note that today is a Blue Moon! It’s New Year’s Eve and we get a blue moon on New Year’s Eve about every 19 years. It’s pretty rare so get out and take a look! On that note, it’s been a crazy year for football fans to the point that they’re speculating about this December being so unpredictable because it’s a blue moon month!
Well, I definitely can’t tell you what effect the lunar cycle is having on the football players but I can definitely see the teams that are going for it all. They’re playing with discipline and heart. Most importantly, they’re taking measure of every play. I love watching the players that analyze their actions on every down and find ways to improve.
It’s a philosophy that I’m trying to teach my son. Take measure! If you want to be a great runner, time your runs, work on your form, breathing, hydration levels and figure out what works best for you. I can remember playing baseball when I was younger. We didn’t have access to a radar gun to take the speed of our pitches. We used to ask the catcher how it felt! Anything for feedback. Now, radar guns are readily available for a few hundred dollars. I think they’re great tools for baseball, football, soccer, hockey and any sport where speed matters.
As we close out this year and begin the next year with a blue moon, we ask that you take measure of your year and your goals. We hope that you learned something along your journey and are ready to use that knowledge to come back smarter, faster and stronger in the new decade. Have a great night!
Time to Connect

Many people try to match horoscope signs to pre-determine basic compatibility. For instance, I always find it interesting that the signs are almost always compatible with themselves. It seems to counter the philosophy that opposites attract. In any case, we like exploring the zodiac signs, personality tests and profiles because it opens the lines of communication and adds a very fun twist to the topic. So, one of the things that’s always a distraction when meeting people and learning about them is getting their contact information.
Well, they’ve invented a gadget for that and we think it will be one of the top ten gadgets in 2010. It’s called poken. Take a look at the pokens depicted below:

For one thing, it’s that time of year in many cultures around the world. For another thing, it’s becoming a commercial world. For a third thing, that commercial world is at your fingertips with the onset and popularity of the internet.
Since is a time for giving in many cultures and I personally celebrate Christmas, I wanted to cover some cool possible Christmas gifts. I’m going to cover two Digital Cameras: Cannon EOS and the Cannon Powershot.
Cannon EOS:These cameras just keep getting better. Now you can get them with a 55 mm lens, Digiic III image processor, 12.2 Mega pixels and a 3 inch digital screen for between five and six hundred dollars. That’s a great camera at a great price. I have an older model (which I love) and I paid over seven hundred dollars. Prices go down and technology gets better… that’s a pretty good deal!
Cannon Powershot: I’m reviewing the Cannon cameras because they’ve been proven effective and I’ve always been a satisfied customer. This camera is a little more economical. These models usually go from 130 to 350 range. They don’t have the 55mm lens but may come with a 20x wide lens. They’re nice because they can still be over 12 mega pixels and that is high quality. These cameras are also nice because they’re smaller and are better for travel.
Like I said, cameras and photography are a lot of fun, so I hope you find this post useful!
Sat TV for Business; also among the stars!
Posted on | December 8, 2009 | No Comments
There are not that many satellite television providers and this time of year the main one that comes to mind is the one that has the NFL ticket! It’s coming down to playoff time and I am a Dolphin fan living in Dallas. Without the NFL ticket, I don’t get to see my Dolphins play that often. Without the ticket, I wouldn’t have seen them beat the Patriots last week!
When it comes to satellite tv providers, they can certainly help for businesses. If you’re a sports bar, having a satellite tv provider is almost essential. But you don’t have to be a sports bar to benefit from quality television programming. Any business where people gather and organize is a place to provide them some entertainment and help the have a positive experience in your facility.
Sat TV for your business may very well help your customer base grow. At a minimum, it will back your current customer base happier while visiting your establishment which means they’ll be more likely to come back. If you’re a business owner, you understand that details are important and you never know what is going to make the sale or keep the customer. The details matter and sat tv is just one idea to make your customer base happy!
Savings among the stars!

Well, technically, it’s on the Internet. I’m quite impressed by the vast increase in direct selling. The number of partners for Direct TV giving away Direct TV Deals seems to be ever growing.
In this case, it seems that Blog Television is partnering with Directv (which is the actually the trademark name) to bring you great Direct TV Packages and Direct TV Service. They have packages for under $30 per month. It’s pretty amazing to watch the costs for technology products continue to fall. Remember when large bulky cell phones were only for the rich? Now, it seems that every family member has one. There are throw away cell phones and world cell phones.
I guess I’m just amazed at how quickly things change during the information age. Will cell phones be obsolete in 10 years? I don’t know. What I do know is that if you have directv, you should check out some of the direct sellers and negotiate a lower rate. If you don’t have directv and you’re interested, again, shop around for the best price.
Directv’s satellites orbit among the stars and that’s where I see your savings this week!!!
TV Forecast; it’s in the stars

It seems that everything is becoming more and more consolidated and there will be a computer at the center of the action. All formats are moving to digital formats so we predict that in the next 10 years, everything will be consolidated on a single system: music, television, movies, pictures and personal videos. There will be a console that will host everything and interface with your television.
We’re already there in many ways because you computer can do it all. If you want to watch tv series, you can watch tv series online. Some of the best video games are via computer. In fact, The Playstation, WII and X-Box are just low grade computers that are design to interface with software and your television. Guess what? You can now watch TV on your computers. Monitors are becoming less expensive and getting bigger. Eventually, there will be a price point where it will just make sense to have a computer, pull up your TV, Internet, Digital Pictures, Digital Video, Music, and Movies all on one system and then stream interface to multiple displays around your house. Networks are speeding up as well and you’ll likely be able to access your personal collection from anywhere you have a connection.
It’s funny to think that in the 1960’s, “The Future Exhibit” at the end of Space Mountain in Disney World depicted the ability to shop via television. I remember my Grandmother telling me about that exhibit in the 1980’s. It’s crazy to think how far we’ve come!
Now, if I want to order music, shop or watch Psych episodes, I can do it online. Online TV is the future of television.
